About This Role

The role of a Junior Privacy Counsel at Euronet involves supporting legal and strategic guidance on data protection and privacy compliance across the organization.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support the Privacy Office and EU business teams by providing basic data protection and privacy guidance, under supervision, to help manage privacy risks and support business needs.
  • Assist with drafting and reviewing Data Privacy and Data Transfer Agreements in cooperation with local internal counsel, and support negotiations with third parties.
  • Support EU Privacy Consultants in addressing local regulatory requirements and day‑to‑day compliance topics.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of Data Privacy Notices and Cookie Notices for company websites and applications.
  • Support documentation of data processing activities, including identifying lawful bases for processing, data transfers, and contributing to Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs).
  • Monitor developments in EU and local data protection regulations and help share relevant updates with the Privacy Office and business stakeholders while managing multiple tasks and priorities.

Position Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer (admitted or in the final stage of qualification) in Lithuania or another EU/EEA jurisdiction
  • At least 6 months’ experience in a corporate, consulting, or law‑firm environment
  • Initial hands‑on exposure to data protection, privacy, compliance, or regulatory work
  • Fluent English as a working language, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a matrixed, multi‑entity and multi‑jurisdictional environment, with good judgment on when to escalate
  • NICE TO HAVE:
    • Hands‑on exposure to GDPR compliance activities (e.g. DPAs, international data transfers, DPIAs/PIAs, RoPA, DSRs, breach handling)
    • Formal privacy training or strong interest in pursuing certifications such as IAPP CIPP/E or ISO‑related privacy paths
    • Additional language skills (Lithuanian and/or other EU languages) or prior exposure to financial services / FinTech

The salary range for this position is EUR 28,000–40,000 gross per year.
