Your role 💼

We are looking for a Datacenter Network & Security Engineer to support the operation, maintenance and incident resolution of critical network and security infrastructure.

This is a hands-on RUN / operations-focused role, with strong involvement in incident management, troubleshooting, patching and L2/L3 support within a datacenter environment.

Key Responsibilities includes:

1. Network & Security Operations

• Install, configure, monitor and maintain:
• Switches, routers, firewalls, NAC, load balancers, WAF, proxies, DNS and VPN
• Support a datacenter environment based on:
• Cisco ACI and Cisco Nexus
• Work with security technologies:
• Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Cisco FirePower, F5, Infoblox, Efficient IP

2. Incident & Problem Management

• Provide Level II / Level III support
• Handle escalated tickets from Level I
• Resolve infrastructure incidents and user requests
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation
• Investigate and resolve major incidents

3. Maintenance & Upgrades

• Patch and upgrade systems to maintain security and support levels
• Perform upgrades outside business hours when required
• Monitor performance and capacity of infrastructure

4. Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

• Work with vendors and manufacturers to resolve issues
• Diagnose and isolate faults
• Provide solutions and corrective actions
• Collaborate with users, project managers and service delivery teams
• Maintain documentation and operational procedures

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet SLA requirements
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Team-oriented and proactive mindset
• Ability to work in high-pressure environments

Requirements 💡

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
• Degree in IT, IT Security or equivalent experience
• Fluent both English and French

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of:
• LAN / WAN
• TCP/IP
• VLANs
• Routing & switching
• Fiber optics
• Experience with:
• Cisco routers and switches
• Cisco IOS
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot:
• MPLS
• BGP
• OSPF
• EIGRP
• Experience with:
• Firewalls
• VPN servers
• Syslog systems

Nice to have:

• Experience with Cisco ACI / Nexus
• Experience with at least two firewall vendors
• Palo Alto experience
• F5 load balancer / WAF experience
• Certifications such as CCNA or CCNP
