Senior Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin/Azure)

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for a forward-thinking Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, and Azure Cloud to help build next-generation conversational digital platforms powered by agentic AI. This role goes beyond traditional development—you will contribute to innovation, idea generation, and shaping intelligent customer experiences, working closely with both engineering and business teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Software Development

• Design and develop scalable backend services using:

Java and/or Kotlin

Spring Boot framework

• Build high-quality, maintainable, and performant applications
• Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and deployment

2. Cloud & Platform Engineering

• Develop and deploy applications on Microsoft Azure
• Design cloud-native, scalable, and resilient systems
• Optimize performance, availability, and cost efficiency

3. Conversational AI & Innovation

• Contribute to the development of AI-driven conversational platforms
• Explore and implement agentic AI-driven solutions for digital experiences
• Bring innovative ideas to improve customer interaction and engagement
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate ideas into technical solutions

4. Collaboration & Agile Delivery

• Work in Agile teams with developers, product owners, and designers
• Actively contribute to:
• Sprint planning
• Design discussions
• Code reviews
• Collaborate across technical and business domains

5. Continuous Improvement

• Stay updated with emerging technologies and AI trends
• Promote innovation and best practices within the team
• Inspire peers and stakeholders with new ideas and technical approaches

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• Strong experience in Java and/or Kotlin development
• Hands-on expertise with Spring Boot
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform
• Strong understanding of microservices and cloud-native architectures
• Excellent English communication skills
