Senior AI Platform Engineer

As an AI Platform Engineer within the team, you will contribute to the bank’s enterprise-wide Data & AI platform that enables AI teams across the institution to develop, deploy, and scale AI systems securely and efficiently.

Rather than building AI use cases directly, the team develops the shared platform capabilities, tooling, and services that support AI engineers, machine learning engineers, and data scientists across the bank.

You will join the AI Capabilities stream, where the focus is on building scalable AI platform services and reusable engineering capabilities within a highly technical Azure-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain shared AI platform capabilities
• Build reusable platform services used by AI teams across the organization
• Develop platform applications and tooling using Python
• Build and maintain services running on Azure and AKS
• Support AI engineering teams with production-grade platform capabilities
• Contribute to AI observability, policy-as-code, labeling services, and shared AI tooling
• Work with Databricks and open-source AI technologies
• Collaborate with architects, security teams, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards around scalability, compliance, and security

Required Skills

• Strong software engineering experience with Python
• Experience with Azure cloud technologies
• Experience building applications/services on AKS or Kubernetes
• Databricks experience is highly preferred
• Understanding of AI engineering and AI systems in production environments
• Experience building shared services, platforms, or enablement tooling
• Familiarity with open-source AI frameworks and tooling
• Strong understanding of scalable software design and engineering best practices

Preferred Experience

• Experience building AI or Data platforms
• Experience with AI observability tooling (e.g. Arize Phoenix)
• Experience in enterprise or regulated environments
• Familiarity with platform engineering and MLOps concepts
