AI – Azurion Eye (Image-Guided Therapy, Healthcare AI)


Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned AI Engineer to support the development and industrialization of AI capabilities within Philips Azurion Eye, a next-generation solution in Image-Guided Therapy (IGT).

The role focuses on transforming AI prototypes into clinically compliant, production-grade solutions that enhance workflow automation, clinical decision support, and imaging intelligence within interventional environments.


Key Responsibilities

AI Productization for Azurion Eye

  • Lead the transition of existing AI prototypes (Python-based) into scalable, production-ready solutions integrated with Azurion platforms.
  • Drive industrialization of AI models for deployment in clinical settings.
  • Ensure robustness, scalability, and maintainability of AI solutions within the Azurion ecosystem.

Advanced AI/ML & Imaging

  • Develop and optimize machine learning and deep learning models for medical imaging and interventional workflows.
  • Improve algorithm accuracy, reliability, and real-time performance.
  • Implement GPU-based inferencing for low-latency clinical use cases.
  • Optimize models using NVIDIA stack (CUDA, TensorRT, etc.).


Workflow Automation & Clinical Integration

  • Design intelligent automation workflows for interventional radiology/cardiology procedures.
  • Integrate AI models seamlessly into clinical workflows within Azurion.
  • Work closely with product and clinical teams to ensure usability and impact.


Customer Collaboration

  • Participate in customer interviews and technical discussions.
  • Customize and refine AI solutions based on hospital/clinical feedback.
  • Support demonstrations, pilots, and deployment discussions.


Regulatory & Quality Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with FDA and EU MDR regulations for AI-enabled medical devices.
  • Support documentation, validation, and audit readiness for regulated environments.
  • Collaborate with quality and regulatory teams to meet clinical safety standards.


Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering / AI / advanced analytics.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on AI/ML experience.
  • Strong expertise in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow).
  • Proven experience in AI productization / deployment in enterprise environments.
  • Experience with GPU-based computing and optimization.
  • Solid understanding of test automation and validation practices.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Healthcare, MedTech, or Image-Guided Therapy (IGT).
  • Familiarity with Philips Azurion platform or similar interventional systems.
  • Experience with medical imaging (DICOM, PACS, real-time imaging systems).
  • Knowledge of NVIDIA AI ecosystem and model optimization tools.

Prior exposure to clinical workflow automation and decision support systems.
