Your new role

As a Senior Android Developer for Havi’s Customer Platform, you will be driving the delivery of the platform’s mobile roadmap.

The role involves analysis, design, development, testing and deployment of web services, features and enhancements, as well as close engagement with customers.

You will guide engineers across development, testing and deployment activities, while collaborating closely with the customer platform operations team to ensure smooth handover of production solutions. You will also handle code and documentation reviews, as well as knowledge sharing initiatives.

You will work closely with engineers, business stakeholders, leadership, operations teams, and global partners, contributing to day-to-day collaboration and design discussions to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions aligned with customer priorities.

Your responsabilities will be to:

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality customer mobile platforms for Android.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend and backend engineers, technical platform team, UI, testing and integration COEs, product managers and tech leadership) to define and implement new features and enhancements.
• Guide the development of clean, scalable and efficient code through code reviews and pull requests.
• Ensure thorough testing through unit tests and close collaboration with the testing COE.
• Identify technical and cost efficiencies across the mobile platform and Azure ecosystem.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Define and articulate requirements and acceptance criteria for CI/CD pipelines.
• Create detailed technical documentation, including system architecture, requirements specifications, runbooks, user guides and training materials.
• Participate in project planning and execution, including task estimation, resource allocation, progress tracking and risk management.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies and best practices in mobile development.

What you will need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Science and Technology.
• Minimum of five year’s hands on experience in mobile development.
• Strong knowledge and practical application of Kotlin or Java, as well as mobile development frameworks, libraries and APIs.
• Proven experience as a Mobile Engineer with a strong portfolio of apps developed for Android platforms.
• Experience working with Azure DevOps or Git (preferred version control system is Azure DevOps).
• Comfortable operating in an Agile delivery environment, actively participating in sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives.
• Prior experience in transportation management, supply chain management or logistics environments is valued.
• Mobile application development certification(s) are preferred.
• Technical background with experience in RESTful APIs and integrating them into mobile apps, as well as knowledge of mobile app design principles, user interfaces and user experience best practices.
• Experience with cross-platform frameworks like Flutter, React Native, or Xamarin.
• Familiarity with mobile development tools such as Android Studio.
• Bluetooth development experience is a plus.
• IoT development experience is a plus.
• Experience with app store submission processes (Google Play) and deployment activities.
• High emotional intelligence, with a collaborative approach across technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience working in fast paced, distributed environments with global teams in multiple time zones.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and optimize code.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
