As part of our continued European expansion and the strengthening of our global security posture, we are looking for a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) based in Portugal to lead and scale our cybersecurity strategy across regions.

Working closely with executive leadership, Business Unit Directors, and delivery teams, you will ensure that security becomes a strategic enabler of growth and a core pillar of our nearshore and international operations.

🔎 Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute act digital’s global cybersecurity strategy aligned with business and delivery objectives
• Establish and lead governance, risk, and compliance frameworks across all regions
• Secure client delivery environments across Cloud, Engineering, Data, and AI domains
• Lead incident response, crisis management, and threat mitigation at executive level
• Ensure compliance with key standards and regulations (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR)
• Act as a trusted advisor to the executive committee on cybersecurity risks and strategy
• Build, structure, and scale a high-performing global security organization
• Integrate security into delivery processes and client engagements
• Drive a strong security culture and awareness across the company
• Manage relationships with auditors, regulators, and key partners

👤 Profile

• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including leadership roles (CISO, Head of Security, Director, or equivalent)
• Strong experience in IT services, consulting, or international environments
• Deep expertise in security governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks
• Proven ability to manage complex incidents and high-risk scenarios
• Strong business mindset with the ability to align security with growth and delivery
• Excellent communication skills with executive-level stakeholders
• Solid understanding of cloud, infrastructure, and application security
• Professional English required
• Strategic, pragmatic, and results-driven leader
