As part of our team, you will be responsible for providing high level technical support to the technologies used by Workspace and proprietary products, such as DNS, firewall rules, routes, VPN’s, system administration and file systems, scripts and the security of domains, among other technologies.
On a day-to-day basis, you will use your critical thinking and troubleshooting skills to investigate and resolve issues that cannot be solved without a deep understanding of the products involved.
Although a wide range of technologies are used by our team, you will specialize in a particular area, such as email protocols, while still having the chance to learn more about the other products and technologies.
This role requires office work 3 days/week.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- English fluency
- Good understanding of and experience with web protocols (HTTP, DNS, SSL/TLS, etc) along with a good understanding of networking standards
- Critical thinking, focus on problem-solving, Intuition, Troubleshooting Skills.
- Ability to read and understand logs and stack traces
- Ability to research using internal knowledge bases and public facing documentation
- System administration knowledge, including LDAPs and security settings
- Knowledge regarding migration processes and tools
- Email routing and delivery knowledge (S/MIME)
- Managing cooperative systems (ACLs, Calendar integrations)
- Programming knowledge (APIs)
- Availability to work in shifts (Monday to Sunday) from our office in Bucharest (Piata Victoriei)
Desirable skills:
- Background in SQL is a plus
- Ability to read and understand application layer captures
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, Android, iOS).
- Coding abilities in at least one of the following: JavaScript and/or Python or Java
- Familiarity with modern API technologies (OAuth, RESTful APIs, gRPC)
- Teamwork skills and openness for collaboration
- Customer oriented mindset
