Data Scientist

We are hiring a "Senior Data Scientist" for a company in the energy sector to develop an AI solution. The role is for someone who will take an active part in product development and bring models into practice.

Scope of the Role

You will lead the development of an AI product as the sole data scientist, working closely with business units to shape the solution and bring it to life.

Product Development and Modeling

• Designing, developing, and deploying LLM and RAG-based solutions
• Iteratively improving products through feedback loops
• Working with messy and incomplete data to produce meaningful outputs
• Building models in areas such as production output and demand forecasting, predictive maintenance, and multi-site operations optimization
• Setting up solutions that track sustainability and ESG metrics

Continuous Growth and Communication

• Researching new technologies and methodologies, adapting them to the organization
• Coordinating with external consultants when needed
• Communicating findings and recommendations clearly to business stakeholders

We are focusing on the following competencies in order of priority:

Priority Competencies

• Strong Python skills
• LLM knowledge and hands-on experience
• Command of RAG functions
• Ability to work iteratively on products, improving them quickly and effectively through feedback
• Comfort working with messy data

Secondary Priority

• ML knowledge, at a level that allows coordinating external support when needed

Experience and Other Expectations

• 2-5 years of professional experience
• Active involvement in product development in previous roles
• Advanced SQL and data manipulation skills
• Experience deploying models to production environments

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Time series analysis and forecasting knowledge
• Familiarity with optimization algorithms and operations research
• Background in energy or industrial systems
