Deputy Project Manager (Construction – Execution)


We are seeking a Deputy Project Manager (Execution) for an international partner company we are providing recruitment consultancy for.

Our partner is a dynamic and fast-growing organization operating across multiple sectors including construction (EPC), energy, tourism, and integrated support services. The company delivers high-standard projects both in Türkiye and internationally, with strong expertise in complex, large-scale operations.

The position is based in Libya, supporting the delivery of a large-scale, long-term design & build project involving a multi-purpose sports complex.

Work Model

  • Location: Libya – Project Site
  • Accommodation: Provided
  • Rotation: 3 months on site – 1 week leave (home country)


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture,
  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in large-scale construction projects,
  • At least 5 years in a Project Manager / Deputy Project Manager role,
  • Proven experience in delivering large-scale projects from start to completion,
  • Experience in residential, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, healthcare, office, or mall projects,
  • Strong background in site execution and construction management,
  • Solid knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site practices,
  • Strong skills in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting,
  • Proven experience in subcontractor and vendor management,
  • Ability to manage time, cost, quality, procurement, and HSE processes,
  • Good understanding of claims, variations, and Extension of Time (EOT) processes,
  • Experience in coordinating between client, consultant, and contractor,
  • International project experience is a plus,
  • Fluent in English (mandatory),
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills,
  • Proactive, hands-on, and socially strong profile with high ownership mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager in planning and executing all on-site construction activities,
  • Prepare, update, and monitor project schedules and execution plans,
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure smooth on-site operations,
  • Track project progress and provide regular reporting,
  • Ensure effective utilization of project resources (manpower, materials, equipment),
  • Manage subcontractors and monitor their performance,
  • Maintain strong communication with all internal and external stakeholders,
  • Identify risks and proactively take action to mitigate them,
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and HSE requirements,
  • Represent the project in the absence of the Project Manager when required,
  • Act as a bridge between site teams and senior management.
