Network Operations Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Network Operations Engineer to take ownership of the day-to-day availability and performance of a global enterprise network. This is a hands-on, technically strong role operating within a multinational environment, supporting production networks and contributing to an ongoing network refresh and office move programme.

You’ll work closely with internal teams and managed service providers, acting as a senior technical escalation point while also driving service improvement, stability, and incident prevention.


Please note: This is a Contract Role with 2 days per week working onsite in Gdansk.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Owning the operational stability and availability of WAN, LAN, network security, and cloud internet security platforms
  • Troubleshooting complex network issues across global environments
  • Supporting and deploying the latest network standards as part of network refresh initiatives
  • Leading and participating in Major Incident Management calls and activities
  • Delivering detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production incidents
  • Managing patching activities across the network estate
  • Reviewing and assessing Managed Service Provider capabilities and performance
  • Tracking availability and proactively eliminating recurring incidents
  • Driving continuous improvement across network operations and tooling


What You’ll Bring

  • 8+ years’ experience in IT Operations / Network Engineering roles within enterprise environments
  • Strong experience supporting global production networks
  • Expertise in Carrier Services, including:
  • SD-WAN (VeloCloud)
  • WAN circuits (MPLS, point-to-point)
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise networking vendors such as Cisco, Aruba, and Infoblox
  • Experience working in wireless-first enterprise environments
  • Hands-on experience with cloud internet security platforms, ideally Zscaler
  • Solid understanding of firewalls and network load balancers
  • Experience using monitoring and performance tools such as SolarWinds and Riverbed
  • Background working within a 24x7 global support model
  • Experience operating in both in-house IT and managed service delivery environments
  • Relevant professional technical certifications (preferred)
