We are sourcing on behalf of Global Air Navigation Services L.L.C. GANS is helping shape the future of aviation in the UAE. They are launching the UAE’s first aviation innovation lab to support the development of a national Air Traffic Flow Management (ATFM) solution.

About the Role

We are looking for Emirati university graduates with strong Java skills, a solid technical foundation, and a real willingness to learn.

As a Software Engineer, you will work with multi-disciplinary and international teams to help develop software for the UAE’s national ATFM capability. You will be part of a hands-on engineering environment where you will learn quickly, contribute to real development work, and grow into a strong software engineer.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coding, problem-solving, teamwork, and building software that supports critical national infrastructure.

What You Will Do

• Support the design and development of software for the UAE national ATFM solution
• Work closely with engineers and technical experts from GANS and Thales
• Contribute to coding, testing, debugging, and improving software components using Java
• Support the integration of services, APIs, databases, and system components
• Learn and apply modern software engineering practices
• Contribute to technical documentation and produce clear, well-written documents in English
• Work in an agile team environment using industry-standard development and DevOps tools
• Support software deployment, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement
• Build practical knowledge in aviation systems and contribute to a national capability-building program

Who We Are Looking For

• UAE National.
• Recent university graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Java.
• Strong willingness to learn and grow in a real engineering environment.
• Good understanding of software development fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of modern software architecture concepts.
• Exposure to Agile software development tools.
• Good knowledge of Linux systems, databases and SQL.
• Ability to write in English.
• Positive attitude, curiosity, and ability to work well in a team.

Additional skills that would be a plus

• Knowledge of Python, C, or C++.
• Exposure to web services, APIs, or frontend technologies.
