Energy Market Analyst

We are looking for candidates become the new Market Analyst of Akenerji Energy Trading Department. As candidates you will learn the fundamentals of energy markets (power, natural gas, environmental markets). QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance or related fields (Master’s Degree is a plus),

· Demonstrable interest in quantitative studies for local/global markets with any kind of experience on Commodity markets preferred,

· Experience with exploratory data analysis and predictive modelling with Python.

· Experience with Python data analysis libraries such as pandas, numpy and scikit-learn.

· Experience in working with financial time-series data is a strong plus.

· Hands-on experience in MySQL, API services & web scraping.

· Has experience in creating dashboards with data visualization (Dash, Plotly, etc.).

· Strong analytical skills, time management and problem solving abilities,

· Good interpersonal skills and a team player,

· High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

JOB DESCRIPTION

· Analyze and understand the fundamentals of power markets (Turkey, Balkan Region & Central West Europe)

· Develop and maintain forecast models such as cost-based models, power supply/demand curve models and machine learning models together with the team of analysts,

· Develop and maintain models and analysis tools for various supply/demand components (Power Consumption, Renewable production, etc.)

· Develop close relationship with traders and provide real time support.

· Deliver ad-hoc fundamental, statistical and technical analyses.

· Develop and maintain market data, analysis, recurrent reports and presentations.

· Generating ideas and strategies on trading opportunities, product insights and risk management.
