Wireless Connectivity Developer – Oslo / Horten (Contract)

We are looking for a skilled Wireless Connectivity Developer and contribute to the development of next-generation handheld ultrasound solutions.


About the role

You will be part of the Point of Care Ultrasound team, working on the innovative Vscan Air product family. The team develops complete ultrasound systems, including wireless probes that connect seamlessly to mobile devices (iOS/Android).

Your main focus will be to improve the quality, robustness, and usability of wireless connectivity between the probe and host devices.


Key responsibilities

  • Design, implement, test, and verify wireless connectivity features (Bluetooth & Wi-Fi)
  • Develop and maintain stress testing environments (HAST)
  • Investigate and resolve connectivity-related customer feedback
  • Ensure stable performance across a wide range of mobile platforms


Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or relevant STEM field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong experience with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi across platforms (iOS, Android, Linux, Windows, macOS)
  • Solid C++ development skills
  • Experience with modern software development practices (e.g., Git, code reviews)
  • Strong communication skills in English


Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Wi-Fi standards (802.11n/ac/ax), WPAx, TLS
  • Experience with networking tools (Wireshark, iperf)
  • Embedded Linux, Qt/QML, or cross-platform development experience
  • Experience with automated testing and RF behavior

  • Workload: 37.5 hours/week
