Backend Developer (Python / Java) – Contract (Renewable)

Location: Central, Singapore (Onsite)
Salary: Up to SGD 5,500 (depending on experience)

Job Description We are seeking a Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and/or Java. The role involves building scalable APIs, integrating systems, and ensuring performance, security, and reliability of applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and/or Java (React experience is optional)
• Develop and implement RESTful APIs and backend business logic
• Build and optimise database queries, schemas, and data access layers
• Integrate backend services with frontend applications and external systems
• Ensure applications meet performance, security, and reliability standards
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Perform unit and integration testing for backend components
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Support SIT and UAT activities including defect analysis and resolution
• Assist in deployment support and post-go-live stabilisation
• Maintain technical documentation

Top 3 Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in backend development using Python and/or Java (React experience is optional)
• Proven experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and backend logic
• Experience working with databases and system integration
