Trading Systems Specialist

We are partnering with a well-established financial institution to hire a Trading Systems Specialist to support and enhance its trading technology ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver robust, scalable trading solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to understand trading requirements and translate them into system solutions
• Configure, deploy, and support trading platforms across different asset classes
• Manage system onboarding, including setup, integration, and user enablement
• Troubleshoot platform, connectivity, and trade flow issues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• Work closely with developers and vendors to integrate systems with APIs, market data feeds, and internal infrastructure
• Support testing cycles (UAT, system validation) to ensure reliability, accuracy, and compliance
• Prepare user documentation and conduct training sessions to drive platform adoption
• Keep abreast of market developments, trading technologies, and regulatory changes to support continuous improvements

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related discipline
• Proven experience supporting or implementing trading platforms, financial systems, or capital markets technology
• Strong understanding of trading workflows, including order lifecycle and execution processes
• Familiarity with OMS/EMS platforms, market connectivity, and protocols such as FIX is highly advantageous
• Exposure to market data, electronic trading, or algorithmic trading environments is a plus
• Working knowledge of scripting or programming (e.g. Python, Java, C++) would be beneficial
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills, with confidence in engaging both technical teams and business user
