Overview

The Research Associate plays a pivotal role within our organization, providing essential support to our research teams. This position requires a high level of analytical skills and attention to detail, as the Research Associate is responsible for gathering data, conducting experiments, and compiling reports. In a collaborative environment, the Research Associate works closely with senior researchers to assist in various research projects that aim to advance knowledge in our field. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of research outputs, as well as contributing to the preparation of publications and presentations. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in research methodologies, complemented by practical experience in laboratory or field settings. An ability to communicate findings effectively and work as part of a diverse team is essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews to inform research projects.
• Assist in designing and implementing research experiments.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
• Prepare and maintain detailed research records and reports.
• Collaborate with team members on various research tasks.
• Prepare samples for laboratory analysis.
• Utilize statistical software to analyze research data.
• Assist in the preparation of research papers and presentations.
• Participate in meetings to discuss project progress and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with ethical standards in research.
• Troubleshoot experimental procedures as needed.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a safe working environment.
• Monitor project timelines and contribute to project planning.
• Support grant writing and proposal preparation processes.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with advancements in the field.
• Understand the consumer habits & needs and translate to develop product solutions as needed by the business project briefs.
• Work with the Science and Technology, Category design teams to propose and develop innovations and new technologies and formats.
• Contribute innovation that can be patented and also participate in knowledge dissemination
• Well versed with the Product Development Principles - formulation science, material understanding, product testing methodologies and regulation etc.
• Well versed with R & D Processes and Protocols - stability protocols and formulation assessments with basic laboratory tools, analytical tests and instrumentation.
• Tech Savvy - Well versed with handling digital tools and platforms
• exercise internal or external through guest speaker or scientific publishing opportunities as per management approval.
• Independently manage all interfaces (Marketing, Regulatory, Packaging Development,
• Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality) in cooperation with the team leader.
• Formulation development experience is mandatory
• Required Qualifications
• Graduate or Postgraduate in Science with specialization in Cosmetics or Chemistry with 2-4 years of experience preferably in Skin Care and Hair Care / Personal care product development. Prior experience in handling herbs/extract is added advantage.
• Experience in a research or laboratory setting.
• Familiarity with research methodologies and experimental design.
• Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, or Python).
• Strong technical writing skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Problem-solving skills with a methodological approach.
• Knowledge of ethical guidelines related to research.
• Prior experience in data collection and analysis techniques.
• Basic project management skills.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new techniques and technologies.
• Attention to detail in both execution and reporting.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• candidates having Product development experience from personal care- Health care division is a must have
