Network Engineer - Cisco/Juniper - New Role

Up to £53,500 + Excellent Benefits + Hybrid Working

A leading organisation in the Bristol area requires a Network Engineer to join its expanding team. Reporting directly to the Networking & Security Manager, the successful candidate will support an existing network (identification, diagnoses, and resolution of network and security issues) as well as assist in the design of a new network and manage that once established. Suitable candidates will have the following skills/experience:

• Experience of working in networking environments with exposure to both Cisco and Juniper
• Experience of supporting enterprise-scale network environments
• Solid understanding of Layer 2 / Layer 3 networking concepts
• Knowledge of high availability and resilience protocols
• Experience with next-generation firewalls
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools
• Strong troubleshooting skills using tools such as Wireshark
• Experience with VPNs and remote access solutions
• A relevant qualification (such as CCNA) would be welcomed

Duties will include the following:

• Designing, implementing and supporting enterprise network solutions
• Working across routers, switches, servers and software-defined networks
• Monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues and ensuring high availability
• Managing VPNs, remote access and wireless networks
