- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
- Design Advanced Challenges — Create complex, domain-specific problems spanning RISC-V/ARM architecture, FPGA development, memory management, embedded systems, and hardware-software co-design
- Build Ground-Truth Solutions — Author rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions including assembly code, HDL snippets, and architectural diagrams that serve as gold-standard references for AI training
- Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated code (C/C++, Verilog, VHDL), logic gate designs, and OS kernels for technical accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards
- Sharpen AI Reasoning — Identify logical failures such as race conditions, memory leaks, and improper timing constraints, then provide structured feedback to improve how models think through hardware and systems problems
- Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science (hardware focus), or a closely related field
- Strong foundational knowledge in one or more of: Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, Digital Logic Design, or Operating Systems
- Able to communicate complex hardware concepts and low-level software logic clearly in written form
- Detail-oriented — comfortable working at the level of bit operations, clock cycles, and hardware timing
- No prior AI experience required
- Experience with data annotation, data quality, or evaluation systems
- Proficiency in tools like MATLAB, ANSYS, or similar engineering software
- Background in hardware security, networking, or distributed systems
- Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside top AI research labs
- Fully remote and flexible — work when and as much as you want
- Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
- Direct impact on how AI understands and reasons about computer engineering
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
