Software Engineer

You’ll work with modern technologies, contribute to architectural decisions, and help shape reliable, scalable systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot
• Build and evolve REST APIs and drive system integrations
• Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Ensure high system reliability through monitoring, logging, and alerting
• Work with relational & NoSQL databases and messaging systems like Kafka
• Contribute to automation and infrastructure (Ansible, IaaS, hybrid cloud)
• Support and improve systems in a “You build it, you run it” environment
• Collaborate on frontend components (Vue.js) including UX and API integration

What You Bring

• Strong experience as a Java Software Engineer (Spring Boot, microservices)
• Solid hands-on expertise in:
• CI/CD, Git, GitLab pipelines
• Monitoring, alerting, and test automation
• Experience running and improving large-scale, business-critical systems
• Confident working with databases and message brokers (e.g. Kafka)
• A pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset with strong ownership
• Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure
• Fluent in German and English

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms, IaaS, and hybrid architectures
• Knowledge of Service Broker APIs
• Automation skills with Ansible
• Background in IT operations / 3rd-level support
• Familiarity with Agile & Lean methodologies
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation (24/7)
