Lead Product Designer (AI & B2B)

We’re hiring a Product Design Lead to take full ownership of design at an early stage, AI-native B2B startup.

This is a true zero to one leadership role. You won’t be inheriting a mature design function, you’ll be defining how design works, setting the bar for quality, and shaping how the product evolves alongside the founders.

The product is a complex, workflow heavy platform where AI is core to the experience. It’s not about adding AI features, it’s about designing how humans and AI work together.

You’ll work directly with founders and engineers in a small, high performing team. Design is a core input into product decisions here, not something that happens after the fact. This role is best suited to someone who already operates like a product leader, but doesn’t yet have the scope or ownership to match.

What you’ll be doing:

• Owning product design end to end, from early thinking through to shipped experience
• Defining interaction patterns for AI-assisted workflows
• Bringing structure to ambiguity, creating systems, patterns, and ways of working from scratch
• Partnering closely with engineering to design within real constraints
• Contributing to product direction, not just execution
• Shipping critical parts of the product yourself (this is a hands on role)
• Helping shape how the product is communicated and understood by users

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has led or owned meaningful work in complex B2B or workflow-heavy products
• Thinks in systems, flows, and states, not just screens
• Has real experience designing AI-driven or AI-assisted experiences
• Is comfortable making decisions with imperfect information
• Works closely with engineers and understands how products actually get built
• Has strong product judgement and is willing to challenge direction when needed
• Raises the quality bar for the people around them
