AI / Machine Vision Engineer | From PhD to Industry | AI/ML/Image Processing for high-tech vision and camera company

Are you currently finishing your PhD in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Vision or Image Processing and looking to move into an industrial high-tech environment?

On behalf of our client, one of Europe's fastest growing and highly innovative international high-tech company - active in the field of advanced imaging and opto-electronic systems used in research, industrial and defense applications - we are looking for an AI / Machine Vision Engineer to strengthen their R&D team.

This is an opportunity to work on real-world AI applications in advanced imaging systems used in areas such as:

• thermal imaging
• industrial inspection
• night vision
• machine vision
• embedded imaging systems

You will join a highly innovative R&D environment where AI/ML is becoming a key driver for next-generation imaging technologies.

You will work on:

• AI/ML models for image enhancement and object detection
• Computer vision algorithms for advanced imaging applications
• Denoising, contrast enhancement and feature extraction
• Development of production-grade algorithms
• Optimization of models for embedded systems
• Collaboration with software, hardware and camera engineering teams
• Evaluation and implementation of state-of-the-art AI approaches

Your Profile:

• Recently completed or soon-to-be-finished PhD in AI, Marchine Learning, Computer Vision, Image Processing, or similar
• Strong programming skills (Python and/or C++)
• Experience with deep learning frameworks
• Experience with embedded systems is a plus
• Interest in applied industrial R&D
• Fluent English skills. Other European languages are a plus (e.g. Dutch, French, German)
• Curious, analytical, self-critical, and hands-on, pragmatic mindset
