Front End Engineer

Location: Dublin / Hybrid (3 days onsite)

We’re looking for an experienced Front End Engineer to join a growing technology team building modern digital products used by thousands of consumers across Ireland. This is an opportunity to work on high-traffic platforms where performance, usability, and clean engineering practices are central to the user experience.

You’ll play a key role in shaping scalable frontend architecture, collaborating closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver intuitive and responsive applications.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing and building modern frontend applications using React, Next.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Creating reusable UI components and scalable frontend libraries
• Developing responsive interfaces that work seamlessly across browsers and devices
• Collaborating with UX/UI designers to translate concepts into polished user experiences
• Integrating APIs, GraphQL services, and real-time functionality using WebSockets
• Improving application performance, accessibility, scalability, and maintainability
• Contributing to frontend architecture decisions and engineering best practices
• Working with Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development tooling
• Supporting continuous improvement through code reviews, testing, and documentation
• Keeping up to date with evolving frontend technologies and frameworks

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years’ experience in frontend engineering or web application development
• Strong expertise in React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks
• Experience building applications with Next.js and component-driven architecture
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and accessibility standards
• Experience with state management tools such as Redux or Redux Saga
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and frontend build pipelines
• Exposure to Node.js, Bun.js, or related tooling
• Experience working on scalable frontend systems with a focus on performance optimisation
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
• Comfortable working in collaborative Agile environments
