Backend Software Engineer

Backend Software Engineer Permanent Role Cork ( Hybrid) 1 day a week onsite

My clients are hiring a Backend Engineer to work on a distributed, event-driven SaaS platform. You'll help design and build scalable backend services, shape architecture, and ship production features that have real impact.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain services in C# / .NET
• Work with distributed, event-driven systems (SQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch)
• Design APIs and ensure data consistency across services
• Improve performance, scalability, and reliability in a multi-tenant environment
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and design

What We're Looking For

• Strong C# / .NET experience
• Solid SQL skills (MongoDB / Elasticsearch a plus)
• Experience with distributed or event-driven systems
• Understanding of multi-tenant architectures
• Familiar with CI/CD and production systems
• Bonus: Event sourcing, Akka.NET, DDD
