Cyber Security Network Engineer / Architect (Contract)

Dublin | Daily Rate Contract | 3 Days Onsite

We are working with a leading organisation operating a critical 24/7 environment to hire an experienced Cyber Security Network Engineer / Architect on a daily rate contract in Dublin.

This role sits between Cyber Security and Network Operations, leading the delivery of network-focused security initiatives and architectural change.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of cyber security projects across network infrastructure
• Design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient network solutions
• Own technical design from concept through to implementation
• Develop zero-trust network segmentation strategies
• Design enterprise data centre networks using Cisco ACI
• Configure and manage Cisco Next Generation Firewalls (IPS, EVE, Security Intelligence)
• Deliver application networking using Citrix NetScaler (load balancing, WAF, traffic management)
• Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions
• Support escalation of complex network/security issues
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers

Skills & Experience

• CCIE certification (essential)
• Strong expertise in network architecture and security design
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPNs, Cisco firewalls and ACI
• Experience with identity & access management and cybersecurity frameworks
• Background in threat management and vulnerability assessment
• Familiarity with network monitoring and administration tools
• Experience with automation tools such as Python, Ansible or REST APIs
• Understanding of ITIL practices
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable:

• CISSP certification
