AI & Algorithm Engineer F/M/X

Job Description

Amaris Consulting is looking for an AI & Algorithm Engineer to join an advanced autonomous systems programme in Luxembourg. You will contribute to the development of next-generation intelligent systems combining computer vision, perception, navigation, and flight control algorithms for complex real-world environments.

This position covers two major algorithmic domains:

• Computer vision & perception: detection, classification, tracking, SLAM, and GNSS-denied navigation.
• Flight control & state estimation: Kalman filtering, sensor fusion, and pose estimation.
  
  
  

You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop robust AI and navigation capabilities for autonomous platforms.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise advanced algorithms for perception and autonomous navigation systems.
• Build computer vision pipelines for detection, tracking, classification, and environmental understanding.
• Develop SLAM and localisation algorithms for GNSS-denied environments.
• Implement and improve state estimation solutions using Kalman filtering and sensor fusion techniques.
• Work on pose estimation and autonomous flight/navigation algorithms.
• Test, validate, and optimise algorithm performance in simulation and real-world conditions.
• Collaborate with AI engineers, robotics experts, software developers, and system architects.
• Contribute to research, prototyping, and continuous innovation initiatives.
  
  
  

Your Profile

• Master’s degree or PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Computer Vision, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional or academic experience in computer vision and/or autonomous systems.
• Strong knowledge of perception algorithms, SLAM, tracking, and localisation techniques.
• Experience with Kalman filtering, sensor fusion, and state estimation.
• Good programming skills in Python and/or C++.
• Experience with AI and robotics frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, ROS, or OpenCV is considered a strong asset.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and innovative technical environment.
