Data Analyst

Project Overview:

The team's mission is to protect the organization's users and advertisers by ensuring publishers comply with the policies. This team defends the world’s largest content network, comprising more than 2 million active publishers who own hundreds of millions of sites.

Overall Responsibilities:

• Research and analyze emerging abuse patterns and trends.
• Identify and develop innovative methods for detecting abuse effectively.
• Identify and develop solutions for scalable enforcement on non-compliant publisher inventory.
• Conduct complex data analysis to identify opportunities for new signals, automation, and workflow improvements.
• Work directly with other members of your team to remediate complex abuse issues.
• Enhance the operational workflows via process improvements.
• Present a unified enforcement experience to external publishers and support internal sales teams.
• Drive solutions through analysis and cross-functional partnership.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

• Perform policy compliance checks on publisher sites.
• Leverage SQL to extract data and uncover valuable insights from complex datasets. Revamp existing dashboards or create new ones to monitor real-time data trends. Share actionable insights derived from the data analysis, empowering team members to make informed decisions.
• Develop educational resources on policy-related topics for interdisciplinary teams.

Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Math, Statistics, Economics, Social sciences or equivalent practical experience.
• Excellent written and oral business communication skills.
• 1+ year experience writing SQL python scripting

Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications:

• Experience with Python coding and scripting.
• 2+ years of work experience in a trust and safety role.
• Ability to work independently and complete projects from beginning to end and in a timely manner.
• Ability to navigate and influence cross-team stakeholders.
• Comfortable making tough decisions, balancing competing interests, negotiating with stakeholders, and using creative problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
