Frontend Engineer (8M -14M)

[About the Position]

- Our company’s application and engineering teams are rapidly expanding, requiring a scalable and dynamic UI.

- Seeking frontend engineers skilled in:

- Building a UI layer for both developers and end-users.

- Creating a platform capable of handling global-scale payments.

- Current application framework: primarily Vue.js.

- Ideal candidates should have a strong foundation in:

- JavaScript (JS), HTML, S/CSS.

- Growth mindset to contribute across various frontend frameworks.

- Looking for individuals passionate about:

- Creating exceptional visual and interactive user experiences.

- Designing efficient APIs and frontend workflows for developers.

- Experience with updating large legacy web applications is a plus.

- Ability to build reliable, high-performance components for scalable frontend development.

- Capable of making informed tradeoffs and communicating risks effectively to product stakeholders.

[Responsibilities]

- Deliver reliable frontend pages and components in a fast-paced environment.

- Support teams through:

- Code review.

- Developer surveys.

- Outreach initiatives.

- Write tests to validate implementation stability and correctness.

- Reduce technical debt and plan for long-term system sustainability.

• - Work independently to achieve objectives, while collaborating with a team to develop strategy and enhance colleagues’ frontend skills.

■Requirements

- 3+ years of professional experience with of modern SPA frameworks (Vue.js is a plus, but not a requirement)

- Experience with building pages that look good and perform well at any screen size from only written product specs or low-fidelity mockups

- Comfortable with troubleshooting and debugging throughout the whole stack

- Good communicator with experience in product development in remote/asynchronous communication environments

■Nice to Haves

These aren't required, but be sure to mention them in your application if you have them.

- Experience with Typescript

- Knowledge of functional programming paradigms

- Experience with Playwright/Storybook/BrowserStack or similar

- Experience with Ruby on Rails and Capybara integration testing

- Experience with multi-lingual applications (i18n)

- Experience with accessibility (a11y)

- Experience with observability (o11y)

- Experience creating open source or npm distributed libraries

Annual income expected: 8M - 14M

Candidate must be in Japan.
