The Senior Pega Developer is responsible for designing, leading, and delivering enterprise-scale BPM solutions using the Pega Platform. This role combines strong technical expertise, architectural leadership, and people management, supporting complex digital transformation initiatives across financial services, healthcare, and public sector environments.

The professional acts as a technical leader for long-term programs, guiding development teams through platform upgrades, application modernization, integrations, and production support, while closely collaborating with stakeholders, management, DevOps, and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

• Lead the design and implementation of complex Pega applications using Pega PRPC (versions 7.x–23.x).
• Act as Lead System Architect (LSA) for greenfield projects, major application phases, and platform upgrades.
• Drive architectural decisions ensuring scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Define solution designs for multi-layer applications with complex workflows, reporting, and document generation (PDF).
  
  

Platform Upgrades & Application Lifecycle Management

• Plan and lead Pega platform upgrades (e.g., from Pega 8.1 to 23.x), including risk analysis, migration strategy, and execution.
• Manage deployments, releases, hotfixes, and production issues.
• Monitor application performance and stability, collect customer feedback, and implement continuous improvements.
  
  

Integration & System Design

• Design and implement complex integrations with external systems using REST, Kafka, MQ, database connectors, and XML interfaces.
• Ensure reliable data synchronization with external systems on daily or near-real-time schedules.
• Cooperate with DevOps teams and Pegasystems support to resolve service requests and infrastructure issues.
  
  

Stakeholder Communication

• Communicate technical progress, risks, and delivery status to management and business stakeholders.
• Support business meetings with custom reports and analytics outputs.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
