People Operations Specialist (Freelance) –Independent Contractor

Freelance - Independent Contractor

4.5 month contract (40 hours per week)

€45 per hour (VAT is paid on top)

We are currently looking for a People Operations Specialist to join a fast-paced, international environment and support the employee lifecycle from onboarding through to offboarding. This is a hands-on HR operations role focused on delivering a seamless employee experience while ensuring operational excellence and compliance.

What you’ll be doing

Managing HR administration including contracts, absences, and employee data changes
Acting as the first point of contact for employee and manager queries
Maintaining and updating HR systems (Workday, SAP)
Supporting payroll processes, audits, and compliance activities
Ensuring HR processes align with local labor laws and internal policies
Coordinating onboarding, documentation, and employee records
Collaborating with internal stakeholders (HR, Payroll, Recruitment) and external vendors
Supporting process improvements and HR initiatives

What we’re looking for

1–3 years of experience in HR Operations, administration, or a customer-facing role
Experience working with HR systems (Workday preferred)
Strong attention to detail and high level of data accuracy
Excellent communication skills in English
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
