Junior QA Engineer - Banking/Payments

We are looking for a Junior QA Engineer with basic experience in manual testing and test execution for Banking or Financial Services applications. The ideal candidate should be capable of executing test cases, identifying defects, and supporting the QA team in ensuring product quality.

Candidates with exposure to banking, payments, cards, or financial applications will be preferred.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute assigned test cases and test scenarios
  • Perform functional, regression, and system testing
  • Validate application workflows and business functionalities
  • Log and track defects using JIRA or similar tools
  • Work closely with senior QA members and developers
  • Support UAT and release validation activities
  • Prepare test execution reports and maintain test documentation
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings when required

Required Skills

  • 1-3 years of experience in Software Testing / QA
  • Basic understanding of:
    • SDLC/STLC
    • Functional Testing
    • Regression Testing
    • Bug Life Cycle
  • Ability to execute test cases as directed
  • Good understanding of defect tracking tools like JIRA
  • Basic SQL knowledge is a plus
  • Good communication and learning attitude

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to Banking / Financial Services domain
  • Knowledge of API testing using Postman
  • Basic automation knowledge (Selenium/Java) is an advantage
  • Experience working in Agile projects

  • Detail-oriented and analytical mindset
  • Willingness to learn and grow in QA domain
  • Good team collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
