Product Manager

About the Role

At StormGeo, we work with weather, oceans, maps, APIs, forecasts, satellites, and increasingly AI-driven services. We enjoy solving problems in practical ways and collaborating across teams.

We are looking for a Product Manager to help shape and improve the platforms, APIs, and map services behind many of StormGeo’s products. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and GIS teams to make weather data easier to use, scale, and build on.

Your focus will be on creating consistent, easy-to-consume, and AI-ready platform services that help internal product and development teams move faster with clearer ownership and priorities.

📍This position is based in Bergen, or Oslo, Norway. Other StormGeo office locations may be considered as well.

Main responsibilities

• Help shape and improve our data, API, and map service products.
• Work closely with developers, domain experts, and product teams across StormGeo.
• Prioritize backlogs, define requirements, and support product planning.
• Improve data quality, consistency, usability, and scalability.
• Use feedback and usage insights to guide improvements.
• Contribute to standards for APIs, geospatial services, and data structures.
• Help teams move faster with reliable and easy-to-use services.

Core requirements

• Experience in Product Management or Technical Product Ownership roles.
• Understanding of APIs, data platforms, GIS, or map-based services.
• Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear priorities and actionable requirements.
• Comfortable collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Great written and spoken English communication skills.
