Summary

Job Summary Backend Software Engineer

  • Design, build, and operate backend services for fintech payment, trading, and settlement platforms.
  • Develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices handling high-volume financial transactions.
  • Investigate, debug, and resolve complex issues in distributed systems and production environments.
  • Own backend features end-to-end, from implementation through deployment and support.
  • Build reliable APIs and workflows with a focus on scalability, data consistency, and fault tolerance.
  • Collaborate closely with US-based product and engineering teams to translate requirements into backend solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to technical documentation, diagrams, and code reviews.
  • Contribute to overall engineering and organizational goals by completing related tasks as needed.
  • Participate in code reviews and continuously improve backend reliability and engineering quality.
  • Operate backend systems in cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
  • Work in a fast-paced, product-driven, and collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of professional backend software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot in production systems.
  • Experience building/maintaining APIs and backend services at scale.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with microservices, distributed systems, and asynchronous processing.
  • Experience across the full SDLC: architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance.
  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Prior experience in banking, payments, trading, or financial systems is a strong plus.
  • Experience with Spring AI is a plus.
