Senior, Software Engineer - Front End

Job Description Summary:

Responsible for coding, unit testing, building high performance and scalable applications that meet the needs of millions of Walmart-International customers, in the areas of supply chain management & Customer experience.

About Team:

Our team collaborates with Walmart International, which has over 5,900 retail units operating outside of the United States under 55 banners in 26 countries including Africa, Argentina, Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Japan, and Mexico, to name a few.

What you'll do:

You are responsible for coding, unit testing, building high performance and scalable applications that meet the needs of millions of Walmart-International customers, in the areas of supply chain management & Customer experience.

You are expected to be more intellectually curious engineer who is passionate about domain/technology in general.

What you'll bring:

B.Tech. / B.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. (preferably in Computer Science)

Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, design patterns.

6 – 10 years of experience in building UI applications.

Proficient in ReactJs/Redux, javascript, AJAX, HTML5, CSS3, JSON

Hands-on design & development experience in interfacing with Web services platforms

CI/CD development environments/tools & automation tools

Strong hands-on development skills to prototype technical solutions.

Strong desire to drive change, and ability to adapt to change quickly. 

Practitioner of Agile (Scrum) methodology

Ability to convert high level design to low level design, estimation of work and participate in program planning & execution.

Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills including negotiation, facilitation, and consensus-building Ability to balance the long-term “big picture” and short-term implications of design decisions.

Additional Qualifications:

Exposure to cloud infrastructures, such as Open Stack, Azure, GCP, or AWS

Experience with mobile (web/native) development

Exposure to full stack development

Proficient in new and emerging technologies.
