Position Overview

We're looking for a mid-level Product Designer who's as comfortable in a design file as they are shipping code. This is a hands-on role with real ownership, working closely with Product and Engineering from discovery through to delivery. The Product Designer is responsible for designing end-to-end product experiences with a strong focus on user interface (UI) design. The role works closely with the Engineering, Product, and Customer Experience teams to deliver high-quality features. The position requires balancing fast-paced delivery with attention to visual detail and usability, supporting a platform used by professional interior designers.

Designers in this role are required to go beyond design files; using Claude Code to independently ship quality of life improvements directly, closing the loop between design intent and real product impact. The entire product journey, from discovery through to delivery, is a seamless, collaborative effort across Design, Product, and Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design of large product features end-to-end, from early concepts and wireframes through to thoughtful UX flows that guide users to the right path, and polished UI ready for engineering.
• Work collaboratively with Engineers and Product Managers across the full product journey, from shaping and prioritisation through to build, review, and iteration, ensuring a seamless and unified process end-to-end.
• Use Claude Code to independently ship quality of life improvements, enabling designers to move fast, close feedback loops, and take direct ownership of smaller but impactful product changes.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate design and delivery workflows, including partnering with Engineering to create and maintain relevant commands and AI workflows that enforce design system usage, so every product update stays consistent by default, not by manual review.
• Help shape how product features are defined, validated, and prioritised, contributing to strategic product decisions as a core voice alongside Product and Engineering.
• Contribute to structuring and evolving the design process while remaining comfortable with ambiguity and a fluid environment.
• Ensure visual consistency, usability, and alignment with business goals across all design deliverables.
• Support the development and maintenance of design systems and reusable components.
• Conduct validation activities such as stakeholder reviews and lightweight research.

What we're looking for

• 3-5+ years of experience in SaaS product design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UI work
• Exceptional UI craft; you care deeply about visual detail, consistency, and usability
• Experience shipping in fast-paced product teams alongside engineers and PMs, with a curiosity about the intersection of design and code, and an eagerness to grow in that space
• An openness to working closer to code than most design roles; this is a space we're growing into together, and we'll support you along the way
• Experience with design systems and component-based design
• A curiosity about how AI tools can change the way designers work; you don't need experience here, just an open mind
• Strong communication skills and the ability to contribute to product decisions, not just execute on them
• Comfortable with ambiguity and a fluid, evolving process
