Role Description

The QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring that software products meet quality standards through systematic testing, defect tracking, and process improvement. This role involves designing and executing test plans, identifying and documenting issues, and collaborating closely with the team to deliver reliable, high-performing software. The QA Engineer ensures that testing activities are aligned with project goals and industry best practices, covering functional, non-functional, and regression testing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute manual and/or automated test cases
  • Collaborate with development teams to define quality requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Identify, document, and track software defects to resolution
  • Perform regression, integration, and performance testing as required
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and tools
  • Ensure test coverage aligns with risk and business priorities
  • Provide clear and concise quality reports for stakeholders


Must have:

  • Strong understanding of software testing principles and QA methodologies
  • Experience in writing and executing test cases based on requirements
  • Proficiency in defect tracking and test management tools
  • Ability to perform functional, regression, and integration testing
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Effective communication skills for reporting and collaboration
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of version control workflows for collaborating with developers


Nice to have:

  • Experience with test automation frameworks for web, mobile, or API testing
  • Knowledge of performance and load testing tools
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery pipelines
  • Exposure to security testing concepts and practices
  • Experience testing real-time or distributed systems
  • Understanding of database querying for test data preparation and validation
  • Familiarity with accessibility testing standards and tools
  • Background in behavior-driven development (BDD)
