Technical Operations Engineer, Data Center, Cybersecurity

• Experience with cyber security, cyber threat intelligence, and security assessment.
• Experience with IT asset management, IT operations, system administration, network administration, and data center technology.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in network engineering, asset configuration management, or cybersecurity engineering.
• Experience in power, water or gas utilities, nuclear engineering, oil and gas industries, water purification, telecommunications, military service, or other critical infrastructure management.
• Experience with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) packages such as Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk, Schneider Electric Power SCADA Operations, and Inductive Automation Ignition.
• Knowledge of basic process controls and related equipment (e.g., Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Remote Input/Output (RIO), protection relays, power meters, etc.).
• Experience with Linux and bash shell scripting.
• Understanding of various communication protocols, database processes, and field networks.

Responsibilities

• Manage and patch Linux machines (workstations and servers) used in the GDC OT environment. Work with cross-functional stakeholders to identify patch compatibility issues, qualify updates and integrate new equipment into the policy scope.
• Maintain and patch Human Machine Interface (HMI) machines and (embedded) Operating Technology (OT) devices - security updates and applying security configurations for an improved security posture.
• Maintain switches and networking infrastructure below PMS (Power/Panel Management Switches)/BMS (Battery Management System) switches, including firmware updates, replacement/upgrade program lifecycles (with Marcus) and support improvements to systems and tools (e.g. new network sensing tools) with stakeholder teams.
• Maintain active directory configuration and troubleshooting issues.
• Ensure disaster recovery readiness (e.g., enforcing up-to-date and tested system/device backups). Support new hires with training.
