As Retail Brand Manager, you will lead three fast-growing fragrance niche brands belonging to one of the largest luxury beauty conglomerates. You will be responsible for developing these brands in line with the company’s vision and values whilst managing all retail, sales, and brand development activities for the Qatari market. You will be accountable for defining and executing business strategies to deliver or exceed the business objectives while growing market share, profit, and brand awareness.
Your main responsibilities in this role include:
Retail Management
- Define the local retail strategy in coordination with the regional office to drive the business
- Support the development of a successful boutique network by negotiating boutique locations in top malls, manage openings, and ensuring a successful opening and ramp-up
- Build a strong, loyal customer database and animate it through impactful Clienteling activations in all top doors
- Identify improvements in current store operations, and leverage best practices worldwide to drive sales and KPI performance to maximize organic growth
- Monitor & report on market trends, and competitors in the country and propose/initiate/take actions
Sales Development
- Develops a business plan and sales strategy for Qatar to meet sales and profitability goals
- Develop and improve both sell-in and out with a focus on organic productivity
- Closely monitor retailers’ inventory levels to ensure flawless service and avoid overstock
- Constantly look for new opportunities: accounts opening, space improvement in POS
- Recommends distribution changes based on results, image, and compliance with brand requirements (decision to open or close doors)
- Watch competition and market trends. Be aware of and communicate competitive promotional activities.
- Negotiate spaces and ensure compliance with our locations, review plans designed by the Concept department, and ensure good communication with the local architect.
Brand Development
Develop and maintain brand guidelines to ensure cohesive brand representation.
- Coordinate with the regional marketing department on a yearly calendar / plan suitable for the market as per the brand guidelines
- Provide input to the marketing team on the marketing mix and new POS openings, ensuring smooth implementation
- Develop, negotiate, and implement a Retail Marketing plan for each retailer according to guidelines and strategy in coordination with the regional office
- Check the profitability of the marketing actions implemented.
- Forecast collateral needs for each account for in-store promotions and coordinate timely delivery.
- Forecast novelties based on historical product sales and MOP guidelines.
- Implement adequate assortment according to the distribution pyramid
- Implement and monitor visual merchandising best practices in all stores
- CRM Specifics: Monitor CRM & data recruitment in line with Brand objectives
People Management
- Manage Fragrance Ambassadors and boutique managers team in Qatar
- Conduct monthly meetings with the team to review targets and incentives.
- Source, hire, develop, and retain talents.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Minimum of 5 years in a similar managerial role with a preference for strong retail experience while brand management would be an advantage
- Someone with a luxury and cosmetic affinity
- Business-oriented and brand builder
- A curious, creative, dynamic, and proactive personality, who’s autonomous and able to multitask while respecting deadlines.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities while dealing with ambiguity
- Strong in leadership and in people management with experience in building effective teams.
- Service-oriented: ability to see every detail and always think about improvements.
- Must be fluent in English, Arabic & French is a plus
