DevOps Engineer

An opportunity for a senior DevOps Engineer to join a financial institution in the Netherlands, to help build and improve a shared engineering platform used by multiple product teams. This role is ideal for a hands-on platform engineer with strong Azure DevOps experience, a clear technical vision, and the ability to create reusable CI/CD templates, tooling, and deployment patterns that enable teams to work faster, safer, and more independently.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain reusable Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline templates at scale.
• Develop shared frameworks, tooling, libraries, and deployment patterns.
• Enable developer self-service through automation, standardization, and clear documentation.
• Implement and roll out DevOps and GitOps practices across teams.
• Support containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Improve pipeline speed, reliability, quality checks, security controls, and operational readiness.
• Define clear responsibilities between platform and product teams.
• Influence teams with a clear technical vision and strong hands-on engineering expertise.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on DevOps or platform engineering background.
• Proven experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD in enterprise environments.
• Strong skills in YAML, Bash, Python, Infrastructure as Code, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience designing fast, reliable pipelines within strict time limits.
• Ability to create reusable tooling and frameworks without turning the platform team into a ticket queue.
• Strong focus on automation, platform enablement, and developer experience.
• Comfortable working in a regulated or complex stakeholder environment.
• Consulting background preferred; tech company background is a plus.
• Fully onshore and a strong fit with a European enterprise environment.
