We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Description Summary:
What you need to know about the role This role will give you the opportunity to develop and run the tools and systems at the core of our products, collaborate across teams and with your peers, and continue to learn in a collaborative environment. Meet our team The CryptoServ Team develops and maintains the systems that are used by all of PayPal developers to securely encrypt data. Our product portfolio abstracts the complexities of the lower layers of infrastructure enabling developers to create secure systems consistently and with less effort and at scale.

Job Description:
Your way to impact

As a Software Developer in the PayPal CryptoServ Team, you will support our enterprise developers and external merchant's use of cryptographic services. You’ll work with systems that operate at large scale processing tens of billions of requests a day.

Your day to day

As a Software Engineer you'll contribute to building robust backend systems. You'll collaborate closely with experienced engineers to learn and grow your skills.

• Develop and maintain backend components.
• Write clean, efficient code adhering to coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback.
  
  
  

What Do You Need To Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in designing and building REST APIs with GOLang.
• Basic understanding of TLS, PKI, Hashing, and symmetric cryptography.
• Understanding of infrastructure (networking, kubernetes, etc).
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Java backend development
• Experience with JavaScript / Node.js.
• Experience with HashiCorp Vault
• Experience with Terraform
