Compliance & HR Coordinator

Woods & Co
Australia · Full-time · Associate

Woods and Co have proudly partnered with a well-established, locally based provider of end-to-end building and maintenance services operating across commercial, industrial, and residential sectors throughout Victoria.

With ISO-accredited systems, strong industry credentials, and a highly experienced workforce, the business is growing and now looking for a sharp, organised Compliance and HR Coordinator to be the compliance heartbeat of their Mulgrave office.

This is not a generalist HR role. If keeping licences, insurances, qualifications, and subcontractor records current is genuinely your thing, and you enjoy the people side of HR too, this role was built for you.

You will be the go-to person in the office, working alongside an offsite HR team and reporting directly into senior leadership, owning workforce compliance across employees and subcontractors while keeping the full HR function running smoothly.

What is in it for you?

  • $80,000 to $90,000 plus super, Mulgrave on-site role
  • Broad ownership across compliance and HR with direct exposure to senior leadership
  • Growing business with genuine long-term opportunity

What you will be doing?

  • Track and maintain employee and subcontractor qualifications, licences, and
  • insurances across all contracts, coordinating end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and inductions
  • Manage employee records, payroll documentation, leave, timesheets, and follow up on training renewals before they lapse
  • Support employee relations, performance discussions, return-to-work coordination and ISO systems
  • Contribute to HR policy development, continuous improvement, and culture and engagement initiatives

What you will need?

  • A solid understanding of subcontractor engagement, workforce compliance, licences, insurances, and WHS legislation, this is the core of the role and is essential
  • Knowledge of the Fair Work Act and Modern Awards, with confidence managing HR administration accurately and autonomously
  • 2 or more years in a compliance, HR, or people and culture role, ideally within construction, facilities management, or a trades environment
