Role: VFX Artist (Contractor)
Start Date: Ideally mid-June, or post-summer break in August if needed
Contract Type: Full-time
Work Mode: 100% On-site
Location: Helsinki
Duration: Approximately 6 months initially, with the possibility of extension up to 12 months
Job Description / Skills & Experience:
• Create VFX that align with the project’s visual style, including character skill effects and UI motion graphics
• Collaborate closely with design, art, and engineering teams throughout production
• Minimum 2 years of experience creating VFX for 3D projects in either Unity or Unreal Engine, with a focus on real-time engine VFX rather than frame-by-frame 2D animation
• Strong understanding of VFX tools, pipelines, and workflows, with the ability to troubleshoot common production issues
• Experience with at least one 3D package such as Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max
• Nice to have: experience working with outsourcing partners, including reviewing deliverables and providing feedback to external vendors
Possible Scope:
• Primarily support VFX asset implementation within the editor and ensure effects are polished and bug-free in-game, with assets being produced by an external partner
• Potential opportunity to support creative VFX reviews and feedback with the external partner depending on experience and performance
