Supervisor Crew Planning

Due to continued operational growth, CHC Helikopter Services, Norway is recruiting for a new and full-time position as Crew Planning Supervisor, this role will be based in Stavanger, Norway.

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic organisation in a very rewarding area of aviation. Our Operations Control Center (OCC) is responsible to plan and deliver resources in accordance with applicable rules and regulations, contractual requirements and to the highest level of customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will have good development opportunities within the organisation.

The intention with the role is to start as crew planner and over time move into the Supervisor Crew Planning role.

The role will report to Manager Crew Planning and from time-to-time act as deputy to Manager Crew Planning

About the role

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Crew Planning Supervisor to support the effective scheduling of pilots and rescuers. In this role, you will ensure optimal resource allocation, regulatory compliance, and continuous operational readiness. You will perform and coordinate daily crew planning activities and support the planning team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage short- and long-term crew planning and resource optimization.
  • Ensure crew utilization aligns with company requirements, legislation, and budget parameters.
  • Leverage systems, data, and operational insight to allocate resources efficiently.
  • Coordinate and monitor various crew training requirements.
  • Serve as the key liaison between Crew Planning, Flight Operations, the Training Department, and the Training/Planning team in Poland.
  • Monitor and verify compliance with work and rest regulations for all crew members.
  • Prepare, maintain, and follow up on reports and statistical data.
  • Continuously improve planning and scheduling processes and systems.
  • Maintain and take ownership of crew planning and scheduling systems.
  • Arrange travel and accommodation as required.
  • Control and approve pilot allowances form and travels (per diem).
  • Support administrative tasks such as invoicing, salary adjustments, and holiday planning.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the role.


Required Qualifications (Education, Qualifications, Certifications)

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree within, Human Resource Management, Bachelor of Management or other relevant degree. Relevant experience may compensate for the lack of formal education
  • Previous experience from a supervisory role or similar will be preferred
  • Previous experience from crew planning role
  • Experience from the Aviation industry is an advantage
  • Knowledge and experience of Collective Bargaining Agreements is an advantage
  • Proficient in Norwegian and English, verbal and written


Skills/Experience

  • Experience with crew planning or people management
  • Excellent skills in planning systems and general good IT knowledge
  • Excellent understanding of the various CLA, regulations and company policies and procedures
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and team‑leadership capabilities
