THE OPPORTUNITY

At Busbud, we connect millions of travelers with buses, coaches, and trains across 80+ countries. Design is how we make that feel effortless.

As a Product Designer, you’ll sit at the intersection of design, technology, and business, turning complex ideas into intuitive, well-crafted experiences that solve real problems for real people. You won’t just be designing the experience; you’ll be an active partner in defining it. You’ll focus on consolidating and elevating our web experience across our family of brands (Busbud, Buson, Recorrido, and more), working in a tight-knit team of two designers and reporting to the Lead Product Designer.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • End-to-End Ownership: Drive the full design lifecycle, from early-stage exploration and concept development to final hand-off and implementation.
  • Strategic Problem Solving: Partner with Product Managers and Engineers to define problems, translate business goals into design solutions, and ensure technical feasibility.
  • Craft & Execution: Leverage our robust design system to move directly from concept to high-fidelity execution, bypassing low-fidelity wireframing to prioritize speed and visual precision.
  • Iterative Design: Use data, user research, and performance metrics to continuously refine the product, moving fluidly between exploration and execution.
  • System Thinking: Contribute to and evolve our design systems to ensure a scalable, consistent, and efficient experience across the entire product.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Foundational Excellence: 5+ years of experience in product or UX design, with a portfolio that demonstrates the ability to simplify complex problems with strong visual craft.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Experience working in cross-functional environments where you can communicate design decisions and storytell the vision to engineers, PMs, and leadership.
  • Technical Proficiency: Mastery of Figma and a solid understanding of scalable design practices, with fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Quality & Autonomy: An obsessive attention to detail and the ability to own your time and priorities without hand-holding. We don’t believe in micromanagement.

Additional Assets

  • Experience with design systems and multi-brand product families.
  • Visual or graphic design skills.
  • Basic front-end knowledge (HTML/CSS).
  • Motion design or micro-interaction experience.

THE IMPACT YOU’LL HAVE

Your work will directly influence the daily experience of millions of travelers, driving satisfaction and overall product success. By balancing user empathy with business objectives, you’ll help us build products that are both meaningful and highly functional.

  • Intuitive solutions that align with user needs and ship on time.
  • A maintainable, scalable design system that empowers the whole team.
  • Consistent, high-quality experiences that support our long-term business goals.
