About The Role
We are searching for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the implementation of capital works projects; from planning and feasibility studies, to contract administration, budget management, community consultation, handover and reporting.
As part of a small team reporting to the Manager Capital Projects, this role offers an opportunity for a project management all-rounder to take ownership of a diverse range of projects to support our Infrastructure and Sustainability Division.
About You
To be successful for this role you will have experience in the preparation and assessment of surveys, designs and tender documents and have demonstrated ability to work across several major projects to meet overarching deadlines. You will be a high achiever with:

- Fully maintained private use motor vehicle with secure parking in Double Bay or vehicle allowance to the value of $10,780 p.a.
- Fortnightly RDO and potential to work from home 2 days per week - flexible work/life balance

Essential Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Project Management or closely related field, (further tertiary qualifications and/or extensive relevant experience will be considered).
- Demonstrated experience and ability to deliver infrastructure works in the built or natural environments using project management procedures.
- Experience in delivering projects through all project phases –planning, executing, closing and monitoring and control.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal),
- Demonstrated ability to consult and liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders (e.g. internal and external stakeholders such as Council staff, consultants, government agencies, members of the public, suppliers, contractors).
- Demonstrated experience in fostering and maintaining effective working relationships within project teams and broader organisational groups.
- Ability to manage own time to achieve outcomes in line with organisational goals.
- Proven ability to meet project deadlines.
- Understanding of and commitment to Council’s organisational values and EEO and WHS policies.
- Current C Class Licence
- Working knowledge of the Local Government tendering and procurement regulations.
- Qualifications in Project Management.
