Senior Frontend Developer (50%)

We're looking for a talented individual to join our client's team, focusing on the development of a digital product ecosystem that supports knowledge dissemination. This role demands a proactive and skilled professional who excels in creating accessible and efficient user interfaces while collaborating on complex projects.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the usability and accessibility of the products being developed. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing semantic HTML and accessible UI components by leveraging our library of components.
• Implementing and enhancing frontend and backend pages with server-side rendering and semantic HTML.
• Simplifying complex user flows including forms, states, and error handling.
• Ensuring compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG), focusing on keyboard navigation and screen reader compatibility.
• Improving machine accessibility through clear structure and metadata management.
• Exhibiting strong and proactive communication skills while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  
  
  

Profile of the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in frontend development within a product-driven environment. Essential qualifications include:

• Proven experience as a frontend developer with at least 5 years in a product environment.
• Experience in API development and integration.
• Capability to work with multiple frontend frameworks.
• Expertise in building user-friendly and machine-readable web layers, focusing on performance without overwhelming framework complexity.
• Experience leading development teams and mentoring developers is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, ideally including a leadership component.
• Fluency in English and Dutch at a CEFR level of C2.
