Site Engineer – Major Residential Project

Location: Nenagh, Co. Tipperary

We are currently seeking a Site Engineer for a leading main contractor with a strong pipeline of large-scale residential and commercial developments in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor delivering high-quality projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Assist in the preparation of site plans, setting out, and project schedules
• Oversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety standards
• Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure high standards of materials and workmanship
• Monitor and coordinate materials, plant, equipment, and labour on site
• Maintain accurate site records including daily logs, progress reports, and documentation
• Identify and resolve site-related issues promptly to avoid delays and maintain programme
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a strong safety culture on site
• Support tracking of project progress, costs, and productivity against programme targets
• Provide technical support and guidance to site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders

Qualifications, skills & experience:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Site Engineer role on construction or civil engineering projects
• Relevant engineering or construction management qualification
• Strong ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards
• Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and modern building techniques
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with site teams, clients, and stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to react quickly to site issues and propose practical solutions
