Are you our new Automated Test Developer?
As a part of our scale up process, we are looking for a skilled and talented Python Test Developer to join our Development department and help ensure the quality of one of the industry’s most advanced live production platforms.
Whether you’re an experienced test developer or growing into a more senior role, you’ll work on cutting-edge live production technology alongside a strong, cross-functional team. Your job will be to develop Python tests and to build, maintain and improve the test system for SW and FPGA verification.
At Appear, you’ll be part of a collaborative development environment with over 100 engineers across hardware, software, FPGA and QA. We work closely together to solve complex challenges, share knowledge, and continuously improve how we build and verify our technology.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python-based tests on embedded systems
- Collaborate closely with SW, FPGA and HW developers to define test acceptance criteria
- Work with hardware, software, FPGA and test teams to ensure seamless integration
- Develop automated tests, internal test tools and frameworks for low-latency, high-bandwidth media systems
- Design, maintain and improve Continuous Integration build and test pipelines
- Stay up to date with new testing technologies and methodologies
- Maintain test lab and equipment and help improve infrastructure
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or related fields
- 2-10 years of experience in test automation, test framework and tool development, preferably for embedded or network systems
- Strong Python skills and an interest in structured code
- Being curious, quality-oriented, and motivated to learn new technologies
- Experience with CI/CD or test automation frameworks is an advantage
- Experience working with monitoring, logging and test reporting tools
