Senior Software Engineer

We are now looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join one of our product development teams.

MagiCAD Group is a Global software solutions and services provider with the mission to help engineering and manufacturing companies create better buildings.

You will be working in a skilled development team that is taking on increased end‑to‑end responsibility for its product area. The team focuses on building and maintaining reliable, cloud‑based software solutions while continuously improving system quality, performance, and maintainability.

Our daily work includes designing and implementing new functionality, evolving existing systems, and collaborating closely with product and engineering colleagues to deliver valuable software.

Who are we looking for

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a proactive mindset and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. You are comfortable working on complex technical problems and contributing to technical discussions and design decisions.

You value pragmatic solutions, good engineering practices, and deliver software that works well in production environments. You communicate clearly and enjoy working as part of a team. You speak and write English fluently.

We hope you have the following qualities

• Several years of experience in software development, including senior‑level responsibilities
• Strong experience with JavaScript / TypeScript
• Solid backend development experience with Node.js
• Experience working with NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
• Experience building and maintaining production systems
• Understanding of client‑server communication (e.g. REST APIs)
• Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git)
• Familiarity with cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, such as Azure Pipelines
• Strong problem‑solving skills

We consider as an asset

• Full‑stack development experience
• Experience improving existing systems and managing technical debt
• Experience with cloud‑based architectures
• Backend development experience with C#
• Frontend development experience with React and/or Next.js
• Experience working with SQL databases (e.g. SQL Server)
• Experience working in small or growing teams

Job location

You can work at any of our offices in Finland: Turku, Espoo, or Rauma or remote in Finland. The team meets at the office from time to time, and we would appreciate your participation in these meetings as well.
