Ground Segment DevOps Engineer - EN

The Position

As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Ground Segment DevOps Engineer to join our teams and work on client projects located in Luxembourg.

In this role, you will take ownership of the CI/CD toolchain and container-based infrastructure supporting Ground Segment software. You will ensure systems are deployed efficiently, reliably, and at scale, while contributing to the design and evolution of operational and deployment architectures.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Expanding and maintaining CI/CD toolchains to ensure automated, efficient build, test, and deployment workflows for Ground Segment services
• Managing and improving container-based infrastructure using technologies such as Docker, Portainer, Harbor, and related orchestration tools
• Defining and implementing deployment strategies, including versioning, rollback mechanisms, and operational readiness processes
• Leading operational software maintenance activities to ensure continuous availability and reliability of Ground Segment systems
• Designing and deploying Mission Support System (MSS) tooling, including automated deployment pipelines, centralized logging, monitoring, and system lifecycle orchestration
• Collaborating closely with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of mission-critical services
• Supporting infrastructure evolution and ensuring best practices in system reliability, scalability, and maintainability
• (Nice to have) Supporting schema design or configuration of SQL/NoSQL databases used in Ground Segment architectures

Your Profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline
• Proven experience with Docker-based environments and container lifecycle management
• Experience with container registry tools such as Harbor
• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
• Solid understanding of Linux systems, shell scripting, and automation practices
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals relevant to distributed systems (DNS, NFS, etc.)
• Strong discipline in documentation and configuration management
• Experience with infrastructure reliability and operational maintenance in production environments
• Familiarity with SQL database administration or optimization is a plus
• Exposure to infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and/or monitoring stacks such as Grafana is a strong asset
• Previous experience in mission operations, satellite ground systems, or aerospace environments is a plus
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work in complex, mission-critical environments
• Fluent in English; French B2 is considered an asset
